अपनी बात

हमारे एक दोस्त जनाब गिरीश माथुर जी का उर्दू अदब और शाएरी से गहरा रिशता रहा है। बराबर वह कुछ न कुछ सुनाते रहते थे। कुछ और लोग भी इस में जुटते गए और एक दिन मैं ने भी यू टूयब से लेकर कुछ सुनाना शुरू किया। फिर मुझे यू टूयब से लेना मुश्किल लगने लगा और मैं ने इसे बंद कर दिया। लेकिन एक दिन जनाब हरीश गुलाठी साहेब मेरे दोस्त ने मुझे बताया के रेखता ऐप से मैं ले सकता हूँ इसी द्रमियान कोवीड आ गया और कलब जाना बंद हो गया फिर छे सात दोस्त इसी कुंबे के जिन्हें शौक था गज़ल के साथ आए। 10 जून 2020 में आन लाईन ग्रुप 'महफिल' बन गई। इसी में जनाब तिलक राज मलिक साहेब, जनाब ओ पी बंगा साहेब, गिहानी जी वगैरह शामिल हुए फिर शाम में आधे घंटे के लिए गज़ल आन लाइन सुनाना शूरू हो गया। यह सिलसिला चलता रहा मैं ने भी सुनाना शूरू किया। क्रीब दो साल बाद गरमी में हम लोग गिहानी के साथ कसैली हिमाचल प्रदेश गए वहाँ पहली गजल अपने आप जहन में आई और फिर शाएरी शूरू होगई।

उस वक्त मेरी उम्र 80 साल होने को थी।

जनाब जकी अंसारी साहेब जो रेलवे में जेनर्ल मनेजर थे, ने मेरी शाएरी को बेहतर बनाने में अहम र्किदार अदा किया।

इधर गजल को फेस बुक पर पोस्ट करने के लिए बराबर हरीश जी मुझे रास्ता दिखाते रहे क्यों के इस के पहले मुछे इस बात का कोई इल्म नहीं था। मैं इन सभों का आभारी हूँ जिंहों ने मुझे शाएरी करने और

शाएर की सन्द से नवाज़ा। यह है दासतान मेरी शाएरी की और आज तक इसे बरक्रार रखने की।

One of our friends Mr. Girish Mathur has had a deep relationship with Urdu literature and Shayari. He used to recite something or the other regularly. Some other people also joined this and one day I also started reciting something from YouTube. Then I started finding it difficult to take from YouTube and I stopped it. But one day my friend Mr. Harish Gulati told me that I can take from Rekhta app. In the meantime, Covid came and going to clubs stopped, then six-seven friends of the same clan who were fond of Ghazal came together. On 10 June 2020, an online group 'Mehfil' was formed. Mr. Tilak Raj Malik Saheb, Mr. OP Banga Saheb, Gihani ji etc. joined it, then in the evening, Ghazal recitation started for half an hour online. This series continued and I also started reciting. Two years later, in the summer, we went to Kasaili, Himachal Pradesh with Gihani. There, the first ghazal came to my mind automatically and then the poetry started.

At that time, I was about to turn 80 years old.
